Why is this site Victory4 ?

If you wondering why the site is Victory4 it is because Tom's Grandfather was a Salmon and Lobster Fisherman. His first working boat, a carvel built punt, was Victory(1), named after the training ship he started in the RNR in WW1. The punt was old when he first had it and was eventually replaced with a clinker built rowing boat Victory(2). A while after his death in 1963 my father sold Victory(2) because of the maintenance as she was only used when we were on holiday, and replaced her with a fiberglass built rowing boat Victory(3). Alas I have no boat but this website is my vessel of choice for telling our story, hence Victory4.

The girl front left maybe Harriet Lawrence Strachan b1897. Its possible the older Girl to the right is Elsie West Strachan b1887. The three boys maybe some Strachan nephews as there likely ages don't fit with Thomas West Snr's grandchildren.
